Job Overview

As a Website Security Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and enhancing the security posture of our clients’ websites. You will work closely with our IT and development teams to ensure that all websites are secure and compliant with industry standards. This role is crucial in preventing cyber threats and data breaches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans on client websites.
• Implement and maintain security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents, including analyses of breaches, mitigation strategies, and reporting findings.
• Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to strengthen our security approach.
• Collaborate with web development teams to design and implement secure coding practices.
• Provide training and support to clients on website security best practices.
• Document security processes and policies, and maintain comprehensive incident reporting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Proven experience in website security roles, with a strong understanding of web protocols, networks, and security technologies.
• Knowledge of security assessments and tools such as OWASP ZAP, Nessus, or Burp Suite.
• Familiarity with programming languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP; experience with WordPress security is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
