Job Responsibilities

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the payment process for our vendors and suppliers, ensuring that all invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner. Your specific duties will include:

• Reviewing, verifying, and reconciling invoices and payment requests.
• Processing vendor payments and ensuring accurate coding of expenses.
• Maintaining vendor records and ensuring all information is up to date.
• Resolving discrepancies and answering inquiries related to accounts payable.
• Assisting with month-end closing procedures and financial audits.
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure efficient operation and communication.
• Utilizing accounting software to manage expenses and facilitate reporting.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices.

Key Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with QuickBooks or similar platforms is a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines.
